Planning for the Overfalls Foundation Annual Spring Opening Party and Auction has begun. This event is a major fund raising activity to help support the Lightship Overfalls and our programs. It will be held at the Virden Center, University of Delaware College of Earth, Ocean and Environment on May 27th from 6 – 9:30 PM.
Save the date cards are being mailed to members but everyone is invited. Tickets are available in advance for $40 each from the Overfalls Online Store, (click here), from Gourmet Foods/Puzzles, Kids Ketch and Lewes Chamber of Commerce, or by contacting Evelyn Kyritsis at 645-7168. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $45 each if still available. Space is limited.
We are looking for sponsors, donors and advertisers to help us meet our goals again this year. Advertising space is available in our program booklet. Please contact Joan Reader at 645-9290 for additional information and pricing.
Businesses and individuals are encouraged to donate items or services for our auction. Underwriting opportunities are also available for things like the Food, Beverages, Music, Tickets, Publicity, etc. Underwriters will be acknowledged on our signage, publicity as well as the program. Monetary donations over $500 will be acknowledged in the program. The Overfalls Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.
