Board of Directors Annual
Elections and
Presentation by Bill Fintel on Sea Level Rise

The members only meeting will start at 7:00 pm for annual board elections.

Subsequently, at 7:30 pm the public is invited to attend to hear Bill Fintel's presentation which will focus on what is known about sea level rise, including how it is measured, what is its history, what are the causes, and what are some possible future scenarios. Bill has traveled to Antarctica and the Andes and will use some of his photos to help bring you closer to Antarctic and Andean glaciers, which are playing a significant role in sea level rise. Bill also has local experience with sea level rise, such as has occurred at Prime Hook NWR, and he will share some of his photos of changes there as well.

Bill has always had a strong love of nature and the environment, and for many years he was a member of the Delaware Natural Areas Advisory Council. He is also co-founder and current president of the Sussex Bird Club, a Regional Compiler for the Delaware Breeding Bird Atlas, and on the Friends of Prime Hook Board of Directors.

For the past 6 years, Bill has been an instructor for SDALL, now The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Delaware, in Lewes. Classes Bill has been an instructor for include bird identification, alternative energy and climate change. Bill created a web site and blog for the climate courses, and both are still available on-line at: http://finblizclimate.blogspot.com/  and http://www.finblizclimate.org/home
