Using the Lightship Overfalls as a teaching tool, Delaware maritime history is taught to as many people as possible, especially school children, Delaware residents, and out-of-state visitors. Liaisons between the Foundation volunteers, teachers and their classrooms are encouraged. Personalized tours are given by over thirty trained ship guides five days a week during the summer months.Group lectures and ship tours are available for available for children and adults upon request.
