The Overfalls Foundation sponsors three major events and several smaller events each year providing businesses and individual sponsorship opportunities.
The Annual Opening Party held each May, signifies the opening of the Overfalls for another year of tours, education and maintenance. But this is more than a party. It has become Lewes' kickoff social event for the season with silent and live auctions of art work, clothing, trinkets, jewelry, local services, etc donated by the Lewes community. Food from beautifully arranged buffet tables and drink are provided. This event attracts guests from all social strata.
The second major event is the Induction Ceremony for the Delaware Maritime Hall of Fame.(Read more here)
In total, the Overfalls Foundation has five events open to the public where sponsors are directly or indirectly recognized:

In addition to the annual social events, Overfalls hosted approximately 1,600 visitors during 2010 who took a tour of the ship and visited the Ship's Store. A majority of the visitors took away an Overfalls brochure. It should be noted that the ship and grounds were closed for approximately two months during construction of the new slip and landscaping of the grounds. The Overfalls Foundations expects to more than double the number of people touring the ship in 2011.
There is no paid staff at the Overfalls Foundation. Your sponsorship will directly support the development new maritime history educational programs, sustain the Delaware Maritime Hall of Fame, help with the continued restoration and maintenance of the Overfalls and maintenance of the slip and newly developed park area adjacent to the Lewes Canalfront Park. Further, your help will show your commitment to Lewes and the surrounding communities.

Recognition at all 2011 Overfalls Events, above. (other than Friend level) –
Name of your company and sponsorship level will prominently appear on signage at the event.
Name recognition during the event’s publicity campaign, which includes newspaper articles and radio spots.
Name recognition in the invitation, program, press releases and more. This will vary by event.
