August 2009 Meeting - Joan Deaver

Our regular monthly meeting will be held aboard the lightship, weather permitting, at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 24. (In the event of rain, the meeting will be held in St. Peter's Parish Hall at Second and Mulberry Streets in Lewes.) Our speaker for the evening will be Joan Deaver, Sussex County Councilwoman, who will present the topic of "No More Development without Adequate Infrastructure!"
Ms. Deaver is a first-term council representative, and states: "I am proud as the first woman elected to the County Council to bring a new perspective and give voice to the new Sussex County – one that is becoming as diverse as the country itself. I hope to preserve the qualities that have made Sussex County what it is, and I will work toward solving the challenges we face as our county grows."
