2009 Third Annual DE Maritime Hall of Fame

The nominations are all in for the 2009 Delaware Maritime Hall of Fame, and five inductees have been chosen: Frank “Thumper” Eicherly IV, H. Dale Parsons, Otis H. Smith, James J. White, and Arthur “Skinny” Wilson. Detailed biographies and photos for each of the five inductees can be found in a linked document here. This year’s Delaware Maritime Hall of Fame will also present the Meritorious Service Award to Timothy J. Delp for his service to country. Mr. Delp is a Merchant Mariner and resides in Lewes.
The third annual induction banquet will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lewes Yacht Club. A limited amount of tickets are still available at $75. each. Please call Joan Reader for ticket information: 302-645-9290.
